Privacy notice

Lynies Real Estate (Pty) Ltd (“we”) respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number (optional) and your message. Agents who sign in to manage listings also have a name, email, photo and contact details stored.

Why we collect it

Only to respond to your enquiry and to deal with you about a property. Your enquiry is sent to the agent responsible for the property, and to the agency principal.

Sharing and keeping it

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the people needed to answer you, or where the law requires it. We keep enquiries only as long as needed for that purpose.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies, to keep agents signed in. Agent sign-in also uses two-step verification (an emailed code or an authenticator app). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when you visit.

Staff activity

For security and accountability, when our agents sign in to manage listings we record their sign-ins, the changes they make to listings and logins, and the IP address used. This log is visible only to the agency principal and is kept for about 13 months.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing info@lyniesrealestate.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
